Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst job with Moose Knuckles | 142583

As a Financial Planning Analysis (FPA) analyst, you will be supporting the FPA manager in preparing the annual budget, forecast and long-term planning as well as analyzing business performance through periodic dashboard, flash and KPI reporting. Working in a highly dynamic and intellectually stimulating work environment, you are self-motivating, and eager to learn, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and will have direct exposure to C-suite executives.

Some of What You’ll Do:

  • Active participation in the annual budgeting process, responsibilities include but not limited to, develop budgeting methodology, communicating with various business functions to gather data and maintaining budget model.
  • Compare actual and forecasted financial results and based on the actual results perform quarterly reforecasting
  • Actualizing short-term cash flow forecast and perform weekly cash flow reforecasting
  • Assist the FPA manger to create and optimize dashboard and KPI reporting
  • Estimate profitability of potential retail locations and incorporate data into budget and cash flow reforecasting
  • Provide support to accounting team during month-end close process
  • Support in creation of board of directors and lender presentations
  • Ongoing market research and share industry insights with key stakeholders
  • Participate special projects or provide financial analysis on Ad-hoc basis

Some of What You’ll need:

  • 2-3 years of FPA experience at a mid- to large-sized organization
  • Proficient in English
  • Bachelor degree in finance, accounting or related discipline from a reputable university
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability to build and understand complex financial models
  • Experience in the retail industry (fashion preferred) a major asset
  • Experience in multi-currency financial reporting preferred
  • Multilingual in French, Mandarin a plus
  • CPA or CFA designation desirable
  • Familiarity with Momentis ERP and Great Plains accounting package an asset
  • Experience in using Microsoft Access and SQL query an asset
